Frigidaire Washer Diagnostics Help
Enter the diagnostics mode on Frigidaire Affinity washers 6000 and 7000 series
- Wake the washer by pressing any button
- Press and hold the Start/Pause and Cancel buttons
While the buttons are held the error code will be displayed as an E followed by two numbers
Frigidaire washers that do not have a time display will pass error codes by flashing the bank of 5 lights for the first number of the error followed by the start light flashing the second number. All errors on the Frigidaire washer start with E. When a
failure occurs, the washer stops or pauses and the control beeps and flashes the five indicator lights to tell the user that a error has occurred. To stop the flashing and beeping, the customer may press the Pause
Cancel button. The error code remains stored in the control but once the problem is corrected, it does not effect the operation of the washer. If the failure is something that the customer can correct (such as the water faucets being turned off), the washer will operate normally the next time it is started.
To read stored error codes:
- Wake the machine by pressing any button
- Wait 5 seconds
- Press and hold the START and Pause/Cancel
buttons simultaneously
- All LEDs will go blank and after a few seconds the
control will signal the stored code using audible
beeps and blinking LEDs. The control will continue to
signal the error code, as long as the START and
Pause/Cancel buttons are held.
On a small number of Frigidaire washers press and hold Options and Pause/Cancel instead of Start and Pause/Cancel
The code will repeat after two seconds so you can properly count and record the error code.
The error code can be calculated by counting the number of times the bank of five lights and the start light flash.
Example Error E24: The five light bank would flash twice
indicating the 2 next the START light would flash
four times indicating the 4.
The control will pause for 2 seconds, then repeat the
Error code as long as the two buttons are pressed and held.
Note: A letter appearing in the code stands for a
number higher than nine.
A = 10 B = 11 C = 12
D = 13 E = 14 F = 15
Example Code EF1: the first digit would be 15 and the
second digit would be 1. The five indicator lights
would blink fifteen times and the START indicator light
would blink once.
It is normal for some fault codes to display during normal washer operation
- SAn = deep clean (Sanitary Cycle)
- cd = cool down (Sanitary cycle)
- do or dr = door problem.
- Err = an error has been detected.
- LOC = control lock is activated.
- PAU = cycle has been interrupted.
